This Privacy Policy explains what information TikTokSlides (the "Service") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
We collect: (a) account information you provide at registration (email address, name, and a securely hashed password); (b) content you create or provide (themes, topics, prompts, generated slideshows and slides); (c) TikTok account data you connect via OAuth (TikTok open_id, username/display name, and access/refresh tokens used solely to post content you approve); and (d) basic analytics about your slideshows (view/like/comment/share counts) retrieved from TikTok for accounts you connect.
We use the information to operate the Service: authenticating you, generating and storing slideshow content, posting content to TikTok at your direction, refreshing analytics, and maintaining the security of the Service. We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.
The Service relies on third parties: OpenRouter (AI text/image/vision models — your prompts and generated content are sent to OpenRouter to produce content) and TikTok (OAuth login and the Content Posting API). Their handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.
Data is stored in a database on the server hosting the Service. Passwords are hashed (PBKDF2) and TikTok tokens are stored only to enable posting on your behalf. We apply reasonable technical measures (CSRF protection, per-user data isolation, login rate limiting) but cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your data is retained while your account is active. You may delete themes, topics, slideshows, and connected TikTok accounts at any time from within the Service. Disconnecting a TikTok account removes its stored access/refresh tokens. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at the address below.
The Service uses a session cookie solely to keep you signed in and to protect against cross-site request forgery. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
